Best Grunge Songs

Before picking the best grunge songs one might ask, what is grunge? I have been meaning to write an article about it.

But in this one I am going to write about the best grunge songs and by grunge I mean just the usual stuff, not the old stuff. Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains all from Seattle, and Stone Temple Pilots from California.

Good Old Days

When I was 13 or 14 years old (93, 94) we constantly listened to Pearl Jam – Ten when we were having a good time (getting wasted) so the album is very special to me.

Me and my friends all listened to grunge rock, just like everybody else back then. In those days kids actually listened to good music. If you talk like this you are probably getting old.

I was probably the biggest Alice in Chains fan of my friends, loved the album Dirt. The Stone Temple Pilots album Purple was also one of my favorites at the time.

Enough with the babble, I am going to through some grunge at you.

Best Grunge Songs

I made a list of the best grunge songs. The first 10 songs is what defines grunge in my opinion. I also used what other music sites list as the best grunge songs. These 10 songs are a good starting point for beginners.

The last 10 are my choices of the best grunge songs. I wouldn’t say these are my favorite grunge songs but they are at least an interesting picks.
